In memoriam of one of the most famous inhabitants of Caputh this hall in the redocorated Coach House was named after Albert Einstein. Einstein and his wife Elsa spent a lot of time in their Caputh summer residence between 1929 and 1932, enjoying sailing the lakes Templiner See and Schwielowsee with their boat „Tümmler“ (tumbler) or dining in the ferry house next-door.
Originally a haystack, the room was enriched by a terrace and converted to a multi-use hall during reconstruction.
The ca. 60m² terrace is located right at the waterside. You can step foot on it through a glass door at the lake-side of the room and enjoy a beautiful panorama sight of the Caputh ferry, the lake, the wonderful garden up to the teahouse. The Einstein-Hall provides an extraordinary mixture for a very flexible utilization.
